Our History

North Forest Office Providers can trace its origins back to 1976, when Roy A. Jordan, Jr. first entered the Western New York real estate field by purchasing and managing multi-family homes. In 1979, he ventured into rehabilitating commercial real estate and in 1982, he began developing and constructing retail plazas in Cheektowaga, Tonawanda, and Amherst, NY.

In 1987, Roy founded North Forest Development with his wife, Patricia, and they became involved in commercial office construction, mainly focusing on office condominium parks. Over the years, North Forest Development evolved into a full-service commercial development company. They locate land, design sites, and obtain necessary approvals. They then purchase their own materials, construct buildings, lease office space, and manage properties. This approach has allowed them to monitor their costs and quality closely, and is the major reason they are able to offer upscale office space at an affordable price.

In 2000, North Forest Development shifted its core business from condominium office parks to lease-only office parks in response to growing demand. This proved to be a successful strategy, and in 2004 North Forest ventured into the Rochester market. Encouraged by the popularity of their office parks in both the Buffalo and Rochester areas, North Forest Development decided to shift their approach again, this time on a larger scale... North Forest is now in the process of launching their product in other markets throughout the country.

Inspired by their new national focus, North Forest Development changed their name to North Forest Office Providers in 2006. This new identity better describes North Forest’s mission to provide innovative and affordable office space for businesses throughout the country.
