For the first time since its inception in 1987, North Forest Office Space has expanded its real estate footprint to include the lucrative Dallas market.
The Williamsville-based developer has started work on a two-building office park in the Dallas suburb of Frisco. Combined the two buildings have 25,000-square-feet.
Construction on the Frisco project will begin this month and the buildings should be tenant-ready next year, said Dave Merrell, North Forest Office Space president.
The Frisco project comes as North Forest has expanded an office park it owns in Austin, Texas and plans for new developments in the Austin suburbs of Buda, Georgetown, Kyle, Leander, Round Rock and South Austin.
Additionally, North Forest is expanding an office park it developed in Brighton, Colo., a Denver suburb.
"We are excited to pursue new opportunities throughout the country, but our roots are here in the Buffalo area," Merrell said.
Merrell said the new projects may see North Forest add new employees in his Williamsville headquarters. The company has 40 employees including those in Rochester, Austin, Dallas and Denver.
